Balvenie 12yr Stories American Oak

Inspired to produce an even fruitier, sweeter Balvenie, ApprenticeMalt Master Kelsey McKechnie had the bright idea to import VirginOak barrels from Kentucky. The barrels are twice toasted, once inKentucky and once at The Balvenie Cooperage to drive the heat furtherinto the wood and bring out as much flavour as possible. After thisextra deep toast, they are filled with classic Balvenie and laid down tofurther mature. The result is a delectably complex whisky with notes ofcaramelized fruit, oak, coconut and delicate vanilla.
