The Balvenie French Oak 16 Year Old is a vibrant single malt finished in casks that previously held wine from the French Charentes vineyards.First Cask: 16 years of maturation in American Oak casks brings an abundance of vanilla spice and warm honey notes. Second Cask: Finishing in Pineau casks creates notes of energizing grapefruit, geranium, glazed fruit and ginger.Packaging - Elegant visual cues are borrowed from the Cognac region of France. Ornate details and decorative borders intertwine with vine from the Chateaus. The design also celebrates the floral note imparted by the finishing cask, as well as the Charentes region from which the cask originates.
