Maker's Mark Cellar Aged is a richer, fruitier, more complex bourbon, that's deeper , darker with no bitterness. To achieve this, it was aged in the Maker 's Mark limestone cellar for an additional five to six years after standard ~6 year maturing in the traditional rickhouses. This slows down the tannic impact that occurs during maturation while al lowing the barrel to develop complexities and deeper , darker flavor characteristics. Cellar Aged is bottled at cask strength, and final proof of the 2023 release is 115.7
