Bomberger's Declaration Precision Fine Grain

Bomberger's PFG Kentucky Straight Bourbon is the culmination of extensive research by Michter's Master of Maturation, Andrea Wilson, pushing the boundaries of wood science. This unique bourbon begins its aging process in a new, toasted and charred American oak barrel, where it matures fully. Afterward, the bourbon is transferred to a second, custom-made, proprietary French fine grain oak barrel for further maturation.The French barrels selected for Bomberger's PFG are crafted to exact specifications, featuring fine grain oak from slow-growing forests, including wood sourced from the renowned Tronçais, Allier, Nevers, and Vosges forests. These barrels are seasoned outdoors for a minimum of 40 months before being toasted and charred to a tightly controlled temperature and time. This innovative process enhances the depth and complexity of the whiskey, accentuating its aroma, texture, and finish.After completing the maturation process, the bourbon is dumped into small batches, undergoes our signature filtration, and is bottled at 100.2 proof (50.1% ABV). The result is a bourbon that reflects Andrea Wilson's dedication to redefining the potential of wood in whiskey-making.
